Ornaments and symbols
Trypillian ornaments amaze by their mystic
power. From the depth of 7000 years ago their ancient patterns
talk to us with forgotten language of signs and symbols. A
perfect rhythmic of the ornament, the richness of symbols,
bring us a mighty primordial magic of communication between
these ancient people and their gods.
The combination of symbols allowed to convey
a total phrase or a thought - "it's raining, grain falls
on soil, grows and stretches to the sky". Trypillians
were one step from their own written language, they had around
300 signs and their blocks. Among them are such as famous
Summer Istar's star, symbols of a plant, a water, a house,
etc.
We still are trying to understand
what was hidden in the Trypillian signs and symbols? Trypillians
had an idea of reincarnation or rebirth, which is central
concept of their civilization and lies in a base of a system
of magic and sacral rituals with which Trypillians tried to
achieve immortality of a human soul.
